To accomplish our mission, NoteWorthy Kidz will work toward

the

following goals:

To enable any interested child grades two through eight the
opportunity to learn a musical instrument.
To provide a learning network to continually develop young
musicians.
To integrate music throughout the learning process at the
elementary and middle school level.
To broaden music awareness throughout the learning community.

NoteWorthy Kidz will provide a supportive and caring learning

environment for students. Staff will also encourage an open,

collaborative effort with teachers, schools, community groups,

and

musicians, valuing input and maximizing growth

opportunity for students.

Due to the very nature of the world’s

musical forms, compassion and

diversity will be core values

that NoteWorthy Kidz support and teach.

NoteWorthy Kidz

programs will be offered both in and outside traditional

school

settings, allowing for optimum accessibility by children and

families. NoteWorthy Kidz will also create partnerships with

organizations

such as Schenectady County Community

College, Hamilton Hill Arts

Center, and Jay Street Music

Studios that can increase our effectiveness

and strengthen

the learning community.

There is no debate- we need quality education for our nation's

youth.

Increasing pressure on our educational system has

shifted focus away

from the arts and toward Reading, wRiting,

and aRithmetic (the 3 R’s)

with the mandate that No Child be

Left Behind. NoteWorthy Kidz will

ensure that music

education for our children is not compromised. We

should

never lose the passion to pursue education- we should all be

lifelong learners. By offering comprehensive programs that

span the

elementary curriculum along with continual support

and opportunity for

growth, lessons taught will inject interest

into learning again, mentoring

students- and musicians- for life.
